The love triangle? Not so much. Unless it contributes to the mystery, like you hinted at, it seems largely unnecessary. I didn't know this was part of a series- it doesn't exactly seem like it would work in a series format, but who knows! And I think the best part was how she added in the view from the serial killer's perspective every so often. For me it had me looking over my shoulder. But the mystery of the little island is what really caught my attention in this book. I'm interested to see where she will take this series, because this book did end perfectly. But oh well! Sounds like everything else was fairly enjoyable about the book, and I agree with you about the Witness Protection program part. Or at least, that I wouldn't want the characters to be protected either, because then it is easy to lose interest--without that additional tension. Blah about the love triangle, though nothing is what it seems, and also about thin character development, though I also do like contemporary thrillers, so it still seems like this one is up my alley. Thanks for the review! I've been wondering about this book, as I have seen it featured a lot elsewhere :).Christina Reads YAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14937783114868207494noreply@blogger.com
