Why I'm Interested:

Because I am terrible at actually reading the books I own. I think 15 is a lofty goal and I actually don't think I'll accomplish that, but the first level of five books felt like taking the wimpy way out. Plus, I have this goal for a reason, and reading only five books doesn't really satisfy that reason.

Besides, last year I ended up reading 13 books for the challenge, so hopefully I can at least come close to replicating that. I'll be happy if I tackle at least seven previously owned books and 15 books I acquire in 2013.

Some books I'm considering:

Books I own and have not read, particularly:

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Haunting Violet by Alexandra Harvey
Storybound by Marissa Burt
The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa
Monstrumologist

and any other books that qualify for my other challenges

  1. I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone. You must read it!
It's so swoonworthy. I think it will be right up your alley.

I am terrible about reading books I own as well. Usually, I'm in a hurry to read library books before they are due - or netgalley titles before they expire...

    1. I have such high hopes for Daughter of Smoke and Bone now. Everyone seems to love it, and the sequel seems to be even more well-received. I'm not sure if I want to try to wait now until the third book comes out though.

Me too! I'm in the same boat, but I also always gravitate toward the books I don't have just because they seem more tantalizing.

    1. Me too! Though now I'm considering pushing it off until the third book comes out so I can just read all three at once.

  3. This was one of my more difficult challenges last year. I did complete it near the end of the year. I had an even harder time with The Sophomore Reading Challenge, though. At least this challenge motivated me to get some of those old books off my TBR list. I still have a mountain to overcome though, don't know if I ever will.

    1. I was surprised at how difficult the Sophomore Reading Challenge was. I knew this one wold be hard for me. I'm always neglecting my own books *sigh* Good luck! I don't think I'll ever overcome my mountain, and I'm not sure I want to :P I like knowing I have a stash of unread books at hand.

It's all about friendly conversation here at Small Review :) I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Be sure to check back again because I do make every effort to reply to your comments here.

Because I am absolutely terrible about following through with blog awards, I can't in good conscience accept any more. Thank you very much for thinking of me though!
