My Updates

I'm still playing catch up with my comments and emails. If you're waiting, THANK YOU! for all your patience and please know I haven't forgotten. Every single comment and kind email have given me so much joy, which has been especially helpful this week (there's even a new meme floating around about pets! It's like insta-tears. If you've participated in that, I'm sorry but I've scrolled right past it!)

  1. Oh, the dog meme! That must be so hard for you! And I just saw another post last week about a woman who lost her dog too. Makes my stomach wrench. (Can a stomach wrench? I don't know. Mine sure does.)

I just realized I didn't put a recap in my post this week. Maybe I'll do one for tomorrow. It's like the universe is trying to get me to post 7 days a week. Nonsense.

I have been wanting to try a Gail Carson Levine book. Can't wait to see what you think of A Tale of Two Castles!

  2. I'm a big fan of this recap. Its nice to see if I've missed anything. You see I work 12hr shifts at a hospital and sometimes I don't have any chance to even look at the computer for leisure that is.. I do plenty looking at it for work.

Anyways, I've not seen the dog meme, but I'm glad you're able to flip through it without looking. Unfortunately it takes a long time before the sharp pain goes away. Eventually, it just becomes dull.

  3. I finished The Iron Queen this week and it was amazing! Can't wait to read your thoughts!

  4. Logan, Yup, it really sucks seeing all those cute pet pictures now. Normally I’d be all over a meme like that though. I don’t know if a stomach can wrench, but mine does too. I’m not too far into this Gail Carson Levine book yet, but so far it’s ok. I just got to the part that grabbed me. I also enjoyed her book The Two Princesses of Bamarre (I reviewed it a little ways back).

Gina, Glad you like it! I like recaps for the same reason, though, wow 12 hour shifts!! That’s an incredibly long shift. You describe the pain perfectly.

Miss Remmers, I am LOVING it! And the copy you sent me just arrived! Thank you :)

A Backwards Story, I hope you love it!!

It's all about friendly conversation here at Small Review :) I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Be sure to check back again because I do make every effort to reply to your comments here.

Because I am absolutely terrible about following through with blog awards, I can't in good conscience accept any more. Thank you very much for thinking of me though!
