Why I'm Interested:
I love this challenge. With so much hype and focus on new books, all the old books on my TBR often get neglected. Hopefully this challenge will inspire me to pick up some of those books that have been on my TBR for far too long. I am also hoping to read some of the YA "greats" that I missed out on when I was younger.

Some books I'm considering:
Has anyone read any of these books? Did you like them? Dislike them? Have any suggestions for this challenge?

Thanks for participating! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Hunger Games! Read it now! No wait... you have to wait for the new year to read it, I guess.
ReplyDelete*gasp* you haven't read The Hunger Games?!?!?!?!?! :o
ReplyDeleteyou should get on that ;)
haha anyways, looks like an awesome challenge! Also loved Alanna by tamora pierce!
I have My Swordhand is Singing sitting in my current library pile. It looks good and one of the blogs I follow posted a good review, which is how I came to know of it.
ReplyDeleteMisha, thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteAylee, Haha, I know! I will definitely be reading that series for this challenge.
Audrey, No *shame* But, I have a reason. I was waiting for Mockingjay to come out before starting so I could plow right through the whole thing without waiting on cliffhangers.
Moony, Oh good! That one does sound like it would be your kind of book. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of it. You'll probably finish it before me!
I read the first book hunger games. I think I'm one of the few that was caught up in the story. (it wasn't bad though) I still have to read the other two in it so I'm hoping I'll like them better. The blue bloods series is actually really good. (have them all and read them except for the one that just came out today and the keys to the repository) Although the 5th book didn't really do anything for me. *sigh* wasn't as good.
ReplyDeleteBTW- Thanks for the comment about my dog. It means alot to me that people who don't know me all that well care more than those that do.
The Decleration is amazing and the first dystopian I read. I'm going to be re-reading it and the sequel before I read the third book in the series which has recently been released. I think I read Sun, Moon, Ice and Snow when I was much younger (maybe 8?) but I didn't understand it. I just got Princess of the Midnight Ball and I think I'll get it out from the library after I've finished that.
ReplyDeleteOphelia is another one on my TBR list too!
AngelicNytmare, It's good to know someone didn't like The Hunger Games. I'm really looking forward to it, but I like seeing balance in reviews. Plus, if I don't end up loving it, at least I'll know I'm not alone :) Good to know about the Blue Bloods series. I haven't heard much about it. And, you're welcome, though I wish circumstances could have been happier.
ReplyDeleteStephanie, Oh, good to know about The Declaration. I actually found the third book in the series and had it on my TBR for a while until I realized it wasn't the first. I loved Princess of the Midnight Ball. Hope you enjoy it!
