These are so much fun! They're like television episodes, with a shorter story resolved in each episode, but a larger arc spanning across the series. The first episode and the sequel are on sale right now for only $0.99 each!

Currently Reading

The Red Queen's Daughter by Jacqueline Kolosov
The Dressmaker by Kate Alcott
Legend by Marie Lu

I've been in kind of a reading slump and nothing has been clicking with me...until Legend. Now THAT I'm into! I might DNF the other two until I'm more in the mood for them (they are both good, just not what I want now).

  2. Oh, I keep hearing that Legend is good, so I'm really happy to hear you say that as well! I think I'm overdue for another action-packed dystopian read right about now.

  3. Alex, I really like the narrator's voice in Borrowing Abby Grace. The mystery was short and sweet, but there are a lot of questions in the overall story arc that I'm really curious about.

Elizabeth, Thank you! I hope you enjoy your time here :)

Danya, SO good! Oh my gosh, like, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!" kind of good. :D Definitely lots of action, and while there isn't much world building, that's more because the world is a mystery that we're slowly unraveling. But everything could be terrible and I would still love it because I adore these characters.

  4. Too bad Red Queen's Daughter isn't working for you right now. It looks interesting. Hopefully when you're in a better mood, it will be good.

  5. Alison, It's a little more fantasy and not enough historical for what I'm looking for right now. It's also the kind of fantasy where she mostly explains auras and the meanings behind different color auras or various precious stones. So good, but kind of dry. I will pick it up again at another time.

It's all about friendly conversation here at Small Review :) I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Be sure to check back again because I do make every effort to reply to your comments here.

Because I am absolutely terrible about following through with blog awards, I can't in good conscience accept any more. Thank you very much for thinking of me though!
